teaching
With over ten years of experience teaching students from kindergarten through 12th grade, I serve as Head of the Piano Department at Silver Music and Piano Faculty at the Diller-Quaile School of Music in New York City. Suzuki-trained, I work with students in both individual and group settings, creating a supportive and engaging environment where students develop technical skills, confidence, curiosity, and nurture a personal connection to music.
I believe that every child learns best through an individualized and holistic approach, so I adapt each teaching plan to their specific needs, helping them grow at their own pace while building strong musical foundations. Musical understanding and exploration are central to my approach. As an active performer and composer, I encourage students to connect emotionally to the music they play through storytelling and imagery.
Alongside piano instruction, I teach music theory and have successfully prepared students for ABRSM and RCM examinations. I believe technical achievement is most meaningful when paired with artistic expression and genuine understanding, and I aim to inspire students to become thoughtful, expressive and curious artists.
